App and SaaS idea analysis
Before you code, see who already sells your idea, and at what price.
Describe your project. AppGap runs the Google searches, opens pricing pages and forum threads, then scores the idea on five criteria. Every claim links to the page where it was read.
- — Score, verdict and two risks free, no account
- — Full report for $19, no subscription
- — A competitor missing from the sources is removed, not made up

How the score is built
Desk research, done for your idea, in a minute
- 01
The searches
The model writes six to eight Google searches: direct competitors, pricing pages, “alternative to…”, forum threads where people describe the problem.
- 02
The reading
Results are numbered. Pricing pages, comparisons and marketplace listings are opened and read, not just skimmed.
- 03
The check
Each criterion gets a score out of 10 with its sources. A competitor no page names is dropped; a price whose figures aren't on its page is removed.
The five criteria and their weight
| Demand | Are people trying to solve this problem, and saying so? | 30% |
| Room in the market | Is there room left between the existing offers? | 20% |
| Proven willingness to pay | Does the market already pay for this problem, and how much? | 20% |
| Access to customers | Is there a channel you can reach from day one? | 15% |
| Angle | Does the idea bring something the offers found don't have? | 15% |
What the tool doesn't do
- — No market size or search volume: no reliable public source gives them for a specific idea.
- — No access to private groups, reviews behind a login, or competitors' revenue.
- — No prediction of success. The score says whether the field is open; only real customers tell you whether the idea works.

Questions
What people ask before running an analysis
Where do the competitors and prices in the report come from?
From Google, queried at analysis time with searches written for your idea, and from the pages the tool then opens (pricing pages, comparisons, marketplace listings). Every competitor and price links to the page where it was read. A name no page mentions, or a price whose figures aren't on the cited page, is removed before display.
Can the score be wrong?
Yes. It depends on what Google shows: a poorly ranked competitor can be missed, a private discussion can't be seen. The report says what the search couldn't establish. Treat the score as a quick read of the field, to confirm with real customers — the report suggests the first test to run.
Does my idea stay confidential?
It isn't published. It's sent to the analysis model (Claude, via OpenRouter), and the derived searches go to Google through Serper. None of these services make it public. Only you know the address of your analysis.
Why pay per report instead of a subscription?
You check an idea now and then, not every day. You buy the report once the free preview makes you want the detail, and the pack of three is for comparing several ideas.
Do I need an account?
No. The preview shows without signing up. After payment, the report link is emailed to the address you entered at Stripe; the “Find my reports” page resends them if you lose them.
